A few years back, I was asked to host a little challah and snack story time for adults and young people alike. That is a pretty tall order. How do you keep a crowd ranging from 7 to 77 happy?
I had three ways: tell stories, let them tell stories and finally – let them eat challah. Continue reading
Yes, I know the rain is coming this weekend, but I have got to write about farm fun this weekend. Don’t let the rain drops stop you from having fun on a farm or for a farm this weekend. Remember, the rain is what helps the plants grow!
My family almost always starts our Saturday mornings with a bike ride to the Carrboro Farmer’s Market followed by time at Weaver Street Market in Carrboro. As always I encourage you to start your weekend at one of the farmer’s markets in the area.

We are in the countdown for back to school. Actually, we know some friends have already hit the books. With the books, comes lunchtime wonders. As a gluten free household, we take a few extra steps to gear up for going back to school.
Living local, green and gluten free
Who are we?
Two former neighbors still friends living in the same town with a passion for blogging. This past year we both blogged for a small startup in our town. We got to combine our interest of living and supporting local while making eco-conscious choices whenever possible. (thus the green in our tagline). And finally, one of us has a completely gluten free home and is very often found roaming the grocery aisles in search of a new product to share.
After the startup gig ended we found ourselves writing on several blogs and other websites. We decided to combine our efforts and enjoy writing and sharing together.
We are off to the Blogher conference to be inspired…
Stay tuned for blogging on living local, green and gluten free.
We hope you will follow us!
