It is hard to believe my first born is getting ready for her Bat Mitzvah. I am not sure what is harder: the reality of her being 13 soon or the reality that I am 13 years older than the day. Either way, I am so happy for her, watching her grow and change with each task. Being a Bat Mitzvah is not one of those small tasks. This unique and charming store has been so successful that they are opening Shoetique, also in Carr Mill Mall, today, November 6th!, To celebrate this grand opening, they are having a Fly London trunk show from noon-7pm. The weather has definitely turned in North Carolina! The leaves are changing, and warm days are being replaced by crisp, fall ones. There’s something about fall that makes me want to restock the candles in my home. The cooler, shorter days motivate me to bring the dwindling warmth of the season inside.

In our neighborhood on Halloween, we have a tradition of gathering all the kids in the cul-de-sac for a pre-trick-or-treating costume parade. It’s a time for the kids to meet and show their costume creations. Continue reading
